Supported files and limits

The Transform web app and API use the following file types and input limits. The Transform MCP server supports a broader file-type list. See MCP supported file types.

Limit	Value and scope
Document upload	50 MB per document on Upload, Parse, or direct Extract. Exact byte boundary is not specified here.
Supported extensions	`.bmp`, `.docx`, `.heic`, `.jpeg`, `.jpg`, `.pdf`, `.png`, `.pptx`, `.tiff`
JSON extraction schema	1,048,576 serialized bytes for a `parse_id` request. Multipart schema declares a maximum string length of 1,048,576.
Prompt	1,048,576 UTF-8 bytes per request.

Use one document per request. The Transform API does not currently support URL ingestion, presigned uploads, or multi-document uploads. No public values are specified for result size, request rate, or concurrent jobs. Treat those limits as unknown and do not assume unlimited capacity.
